INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATIONS

BIS conducts impartial, independent investigations on behalf of private and public-sector organizations and public safety administrations when internal inquiries may present conflicts of interest. Our services address matters including sexual harassment, workplace harassment or violence, internal policy and procedure violations, and potential violations of Massachusetts General Laws.

LEGAL INVESTIGATIONS

Brien Investigative Services (BIS) specializes in legal investigations, with a strong emphasis on criminal defense as well as all civil matters. As an approved Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) vendor, BIS operates strictly under the direction of appointed counsel. We employ a non-biased, fact-driven approach, committed to uncovering and pursuing the truth in all criminally charged matters.

BIS employs a wide range of investigative techniques to locate missing persons and individuals who have intentionally relocated or “skipped” town. Our methods include in-depth interviews, digital footprint analysis (including social media), comprehensive database and public records research, and targeted field operations to accurately identify current whereabouts.

WITNESS LOCATION & INTERVIEWS

BIS utilizes confidential investigative databases and proven investigative techniques to determine the current locations of witnesses. These resources, combined with field operations such as cold knocks and surveillance, consistently yield successful results.

All interviews are conducted with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Findings may be documented in formal investigative reports and, when appropriate, accompanied by signed witness statements suitable for court proceedings or for informational purposes for retained counsel.

COLD CASES

For cases that remain unsolved and are no longer actively investigated due to limited evidence or exhausted leads, BIS conducts a comprehensive review from the outset. Our team reanalyzes all available information and pursues alternative investigative avenues to uncover new evidence and generate actionable results.

BIS offers Notary Public services which serves as an impartial witness to the signing of important documents.

LITIGATION SUPPORT

BIS provides comprehensive litigation support services for attorneys and clients throughout all phases of a case.
